Among other important services, the Foundation manages the endowment for the University and these funds help support hundreds of scholarships and several programs at EMU. As of June 30, 2007, the endowment market value has topped the $50 million mark for the first time, an increase of nearly $5.8 million or 12.9 percent since fiscal year 2006 ended.

Much of the endowment interest goes to fund endowed scholarships, an area where our fundraising has a direct impact on our student population. Scholarships help attract and retain top students.

We appreciate your continued support as we work to raise the visibility of the University through active public engagement. As well, planning moves forward for a five-year comprehensive campaign, which will focus on scholarship support for students, program support for faculty and infrastructure needs across campus. Campaign preparation will encompass volunteer leadership, internal readiness and communications.
